American Research Center in Egypt For more than six decades the American Research Center in Egypt (ARCE) has supported American scholars to undertake research in Egypt through its Fellowship Program. Doctoral candidates (ABD), postdoctoral scholars, independent scholars and faculty in humanities and social science disciplines are invited to apply.ARCE provides fellows with funding, administrative support and practical, sound advice to ease access to museums, monuments, archaeological sites, research libraries, archives and collections.
