From the organizers:

As part of the Copyright in Islamic Law Project, we are in the process of arranging a symposium entitled “Symposium on Copyright in Islamic Legal Tradition“. The event is scheduled to be held in Istanbul on the dates of June 28-29, 2024. The central objective of this symposium is to convene a diverse assembly of scholars across an array of disciplines, with the aim of delving into the intricate interplay between copyright, intellectual property, and Islamic jurisprudence.

We earnestly seek to extend the outreach of this initiative to a wide-ranging audience keenly interested in this pertinent subject matter. Thus, we cordially request your esteemed organization’s assistance in disseminating our call for papers amongst your esteemed subscribers.

The deadline for abstract submissions is set for October 15, 2023, with a stipulated limit of 350 words per submission.
